My critters. Other people's critters. Kids. Salsa dancing. Cycling and sports. Elegant food and really great wine. Vintage hats and dresses. Old vinyl and great music. Teaching. Nature and gardening. Non-profit cultural work.
Enjoying ALL the time. Believe it or not, this lil southern girl attended college on soccer, track and academic scholarships, and initially majored in business! A few concussions later, it occurred to her...me... this third person thing is weird... that MY path might be limited and not as fulfilling as other options. So I switched to art on a whim! But it wasn't quite my path yet. After working in a day job for the local non-profit sector in the cultural realm -- and still working on the side to make ends meet -- I threw my hands up again in unfulfilled exhaustion and decided that if there was ever a time to make the full leap, it was already here. So I started honing my chops by practicing after work was over, tossed the office, decided to set my own hours, and started amassing a score of painting jobs that could fulfill me in my life. It was so scary to take that leap, y'all!!! -BUT- I. have. not. looked. back. Now, I paint out of my studio full-time in Nagoya-Shi, Japan and travel all over the country and world making sweet arts for sweet people. That's the dream for me... Thanks for being a part of it and for making it possible. SUPPORT LOCAL ARTISTS AND BUSINESSES WHEREVER YOU ARE!! They make life real yummy. |
I travel a lot, and like to share my artistic process.
And sometimes... I share this all in blog-form. Click below to check it out! |
