Art by Laura Nicole
Laura of “Art by Laura Nicole”
My critters. Other people's critters. Yoga. Kids. Salsa dancing. Cycling and sports. FOOOOD. Vintage hats and dresses.
Old vinyl and great music. Teaching. Nature and gardening.
Non-profit cultural work.
Being present and enjoying ALL the time.
Believe it or not, this lil southern girl attended college on soccer, track and academic scholarships, and initially majored in business!
A few concussions later, it occurred to her...me... this third person thing is weird... that MY path might be limited and not as fulfilling as other options.
So I switched to art on a whim! But it wasn't quite my path yet.
After working in a day job for the local non-profit sector in the cultural realm -- and still working on the side to make ends meet -- I threw my hands up again in unfulfilled exhaustion and decided that if there was ever a time to make the full leap, it was already here. So I started honing my chops by practicing after work was over, tossed the office, decided to set my own hours, and started amassing a score of painting jobs that could fulfill me in MY life.
It was so scary to take that leap, y'all!!!
-BUT-
I. have. not. looked. back.
Now, I paint (and teach yoga) out of my home studio full-time Tallahassee, Florida,
and travel all over the world making sweet artz for sweet people.
That's the dream for me...
Thank YOU for being a part of my dream, and for making it possible.
